BHSF Telemedicine & Media Services was in on the IT and ambient design planning for West Kendall Hospital fron the very beginning blueprint stages. The first new hospital in South Florida in 35 years is a teaching hospital equipped with the latest in webcasting and high definition recording from all of its state of the art operating rooms.

Our technical staff laid the groundwork for the digital room construction necessary for webcasting tele surgeries and video conferencing internationally while our graphic artists and video editors created original art photography and animation videos for the hospitals digital signage and CCTV patient access channels, which we also designed and installed. In addition, we provided some 500 20×30 framed still photography images that line the hospital walls.

The result is that South Florida’s newest hospital is not only one of the world’s most wired, it now hold’s the distinction of being ranked the #1 most beautiful hospital in the state of Florida and #4 in the entire nation by Soliant Health, one of the largest healthcare staffing companies in the country.

“As a provider of Healthcare professionals for hospitals, we recognize that staff morale and attention to patient’s needs are critical to patients’ happinness,” said David Alexander, president of Soliant Health. “We were inspired to create this list by recent data that found happy hospitals make happy patients.”

“There is a special feel to hospitals with inviting public spaces and soothing private rooms,” said Gale Yochum, a five year Soliant operating room travel nuerse. “Patients who feel satisfied with the facility may recover faster and have shorter stays, which is a good for both hospital and patient.”
